The top notes are olibanum oil, carrot heart, pink pepper CO ² and black pepper oil; the heart notes are orris, rose absolute, cypriol heart and jonquille absolute; the base notes are olibanum resinoid, vetiver oil and sandalwood oil. Perfumer Reilly, who is also the mastermind behind Amouage Ashore Eau de Parfum, explains that she drew direct inspiration from Oman. It is home to one of the most precious gems in the world of fragrance, frankincense (also referred to as olibanum which this scent features in two innovative ways). High-quality frankincense is harvested from the Boswellia trees that grow in the rich soil in the middle of the desert, so Reilly's creation draws upon the stark contradictions between the warm, dry, dusty desert and the vegetal green notes of the mountains. This land of contrasts is cleverly represented as the fragrance blends from rich and earthy tones to spicy and smoky facets until the creaminess of sensual sandalwood in the base - and of course, the precious incense signature of frankincense runs throughout.   The best way to use it: Spray directly onto the pulse points - particularly the neck and wrists.
